I need a baking icon.

I've made chocolate chip cookies, cheese cookies, sausage rolls, peanut butter cookies and snowball cookies.

Nope, I'm not going all out this year :P

I'm not making a pie, cake, sugar cookies, fudge, blondies, or any of that ilk. 

I still need to wrap presents, but at least there's not a billion of them.  Around ten total I think.  Very small Christmas at Pud's house.

I'm gearing up for tomorrow morning which will be breakfast and that won't even be that hard.  A nice quiet Christmas.  I'm making a meat roll (meat, onions and gravy wrapped in dough and baked) for dinner because we love that and a pot roast for New Years.

I need to clean the bathroom and run the vacuum.  I've been picking up as I go along today so the house isn't a wreck.  The kitchen gets cleaned after each batch of stuff I make because I cannot abide by a dirty/messy/cluttered kitchen.

I treated myself to the Mrs. Meyer's Holiday Clean Up Kit and I really like the smell of that stuff and it cleans pretty well too.  It's just way too expensive for me to buy on a regular basis.

There are ornaments on my tree now.

I have Christmas candy and fruit in the house.

I forced myself out of bed at an ungodly hour, scraped my car off and braved Walmart at 8:30amish. It wasn't bad. There were people there, but wasn't a madhouse like Target was yesterday afternoon. I'm sure it'll get that way before the day wears on too much longer. If all goes well, I won't have to see the inside of a grocery store for a month.

Now I just need to wrap a few presents. Tomorrow is baking day. Then I'm going to treat myself to seeing NM one more time. Then it's Christmas.

Thankfully I don't have to go all out any longer. It will be a nice, quiet holiday.

I'm not sure what to say about 2009, exactly. It changed nearly every aspect of my life.

Christmas is Friday.

*sigh*

I suppose I should decorate my tree and wrap some presents. I just don't feel like it, but I'm determined not to be like last year when the tree was naked sans the lights.

I need to go to the grocery store, but I'll put that off until another day. I need to get up early for that adventure and go to Walmart or something. My brother has to work so it'll be Christmas brunch so I'm off the hook for cooking a big meal which is fine by me. I'll cook something New Years. I think he's off then.

Seriously, I'm just living until Friday night when this holiday is over. I'll pop a movie in the DVD player and be glad I survived another year. This will mark my 6th Christmas without my mother and I'm finding more and more difficult to go through the motions.

Saw A Christmas Carol last night, the one starring George C. Scott, not the stellar Alaistar Sim's version. I own the Sims version on DVD, I think I need to watch it because it's so much more superior to any other film adaptation. My two favorite Christmas movies are A Christmas Carol and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (the animated version not that live-action crapfest). They are pretty much the same if you think about it...

Sorry about the picture of my across the street neighbor's house. It looks like Christmas threw up in their yard.

I was getting antsy at work so I left early - combination of two week break and anticipation of snow - and it was a good thing.

No sooner had I got out of my car in my driveway, I start getting hit by snowflakes!

I don't believe it! It's going to frickin' snow Friday and Saturday. The local weather folks aren't hedging with totals yet, but a couple have mentioned there just might be a need for shovels...

Sorry to flood your f-lists with my pleas, but I still need about 25 more respondents to my survey. It takes at most 10 minutes to complete and you'd really, really, REALLY be helping me out! It's super easy-- I'm asking you to evaluate six hypothetical students and rank them on how desirable they would be as applicants to a hypothetical university.

I would be more than happy to trade your help for a ficlet in any of the fandoms I write in (or any fandom you're interested in that I have passing familiarity with-- just ask!!) Or, since a lot of you on my f-list are here thanks to Heart of Darkness, I would be willing to write an outtake or next scene for you!! This may be the impetus I need to start writing it again (and yes, I am blatantly bribing you, lol!)

I'm a senior in college and for an Anthropology class I need to do a study. I have a survey that I need to get as many people to fill out as possible. So far, I only had 5 people respond to my survey and I need about 40!!! It's a really really easy survey to fill out and only takes about 5 - 10 minutes.

It's super easy: there are six short descriptions of hypothetical candidates for admission to college, and you're asked to judge how desirable they are for admission. That's it!!!

PLEASE if you have 5 - 10 minutes to spare, comment with your e-mail address and I will send it to you as a word document. I will screen comments.

In exchange for helping me out in my time of need, I will write you a ficlet with the fandom and pairing of your choice!! I write primarily in The Office, Harry Potter, Twilight and House fandoms, but if you have a special request I would be happy to try my best to fill it.
